We are back with BarCamp Singapore 6!.  We will feature user nominated presentations and discussions on technology, education, social media, DIY, food, travel, popular culture, film-making, green-tech and many other topics.

The sessions will be run in the rooms marked A,B,C and D. The City Hall Chamber will be used for the opening and closing sessions.

Day 1 (9th October)

• 10.45 Barcamp venue (Singapore City Hall Level 03) opens. T-shirts will be handed out at the desk outside the City Hall Chamber on level 03
• 11:00 Barcamp Intro at the City Hall Chamber on level 03
• 11:15 Posting of topics on the topic board begins, voting for topics begin (level 03)
• 12:00 to 18:00 - Concurrent barcamp sessions in four rooms on level 03. Each session is 30 minutes long. There are no lunch or tea breaks. Food and snacks will be on sale at the venue as a part of our host - the National Art Gallery's open house. You may enjoy these at your convenience.
• 20:00 to late afterparty at Hackerspace.sg (70 Bussorah Lane, near Arab Street)

Day 2 (10th October)

• 11:00 to 17:00 Concurrent barcamp sessions in four rooms on level 03. 
• 17:10: Barcamp closing and prize for the best session at City Hall Chambers on level 03

Barcamp attendee's guide

• We do not have internet connectivity at the venue, please bring your 3G dongles. You will get more points for sharing your wi-fi

• Bring your water bottles, we will have water coolers at the venue

• Questions? lost and found? just tweet using the #barcampsg6 hastag. Someone will answer you. 
• The barcamp starts at 11 AM but you can come in and leave anytime. 
• There is a prize for the best session. Each presenter will mention their twitter id and the hashtag at the beginning and end of each presentation.  If you like a presenter, you can vote for them via twitter. Use this format

Speaker/presenter's guide

• Take a piece of paper, write your topic and post it on the topic wall on level 03. You need to post three things 1. a title, 2. you twitter id and 3. an unique hashtag

• Participants who like your topic will vote for it. Once your topic gets enough number of votes, we will allocate a room and time slot to it.
• If your topic gets selected, note down the time and the room number
• At the appointed time go to the room, if the previous session guys are still going on, feel free to interrupt them and announce your topic.
• You have 30 minutes for your session. Ask one of your audience to time keep for you. Ideal is 10 minutes of presentation followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Try to finish in 25 minutes so you have enough time to clear the room for the next speaker. Exchange business cards outside the room. 
• We will get projectors but assume the worst. Be prepared to do your talk without projector and wi-fi.
• If you wish to participate for the best topic prize - the iPad (via Standard Charted Bank's Breeze app), create an hashtag for your topic and ask your audience to tweet about your topic in this format. (in this example the hash tag of my topic is #travelchina)
